Anurag Goel: Nice. We eventually found a workaround without leaving the service, but this has been a huge pain.

+1 on this please. At the very least, would be great to hear the WHY behind this.

Definitely bad for onboarding, I assume you added poetry to make things easier for people - with this limitation we might as well use pip.

Please fix this issue ASAP! Having old poetry on Render adds such a big hurdle for us developers

Seconded on the "forced to switch somewhere else" if this can't be supported. Perhaps a back-handed way of forcing move to Docker? :-(

Huge +1 to this as well. This is currently preventing our ability to deploy on Render. We'll be forced to switch to someone else if this can't be supported.

Big +1 to this! A couple of reasons:
- Poetry lock files generated with later versions (>= 1.2.0I believe) will not install with Poetry1.1.14, which is what Render uses
- Poetry 1.2.0was a significant release with a lot of bug fixes and performance improvements
