As a solution, you could have a separate branch on your service repo with a branch that only shows the maintenance message and you can customise it and even provide functionality as you wish. Then, simply change the branch to be deployed in Render to that branch whenever you need it.

Very useful feature, would love to have this added.

This is highly request from me as well an dis currently BLOCKING me from migrating to render!

Please have this, I do not want to think my users that my website is suspended indefinitely. It just gives a bad reputation for the service

Right now my website shows "This service has been suspended by its owner." to 100+ real-time users

Please add this feature, or add the ability to redirect incoming requests to another render url via the dashboard. It seems a lot of other hosting solutions have this. Without it, we have to update CNAME records or the like. Thanks!
