Feature Requests

I often write my apps with docker-compose to specify all the docker options. I would render to be able to read my docker-compose file, create all the services, and appropriately coordinate between them, as if I had simply run docker-compose up

I would love to be able to deploy from another host, from Subversion, or from a local repo.

It would be great to have a way to host apps that are deployed in multiple regions, so the app is fast anywhere in the world. I guess this is quite a challenge, because you might also need a multi-region distributed database. But it would be great to have an easy way of building such an app without the dev-ops overhead.

I'd like to be able to build and run Java applications without having to specify a Dockerfile.

I would like an easy way to deploy and connect to a MongoDB instance in Render.

Just as your managed Postgres service, it would be great to have one for MySQL / MariaDB.

This is helpful for: Health check paths behind basic auth. Identifying health check requests using secrets. Using a specific hostname for the request.

I hate browser alerts usually. But think in this one case I'd be happy if I got an alert from my browser opening up the deploy page in a new tab.

I'd love to see SLOs on uptime and stability.

I can use Docker to run Scala apps but it would be great to have native support for it in Render.
